with Geordie Brookman
In this day long workshop celebrated director and deviser Geordie Brookman will lead participants in creating more detailed, connected physicalities onstage and developing a deeper awareness of space and blocking. This highly practical workshop, utilising the methods of Frantic Assembly and choreographer Kate Champion (DV8, Force Majeure), will include segments on physical devising and movement creation, how to develop and maintain tension and how to express status through movement.
Geordie Brookman was the Artistic Director and Co-CEO of State Theatre Company South Australia during which time he more than tripled the Company’s activity and instigated its first three ever international tours. Since graduating from Flinders University Drama Centre, Geordie has directed work around Australia, the UK and Asia. One of his latest productions for Frantic Assembly and the Lyric Hammersmith, ´Things I Know To Be True`, recently enjoyed a return four-month, sell-out season in the UK.
