10 Day Summer Workshop with Dee Cannon
Scene Study – A fully rounded workshop that delves deep into the lives of the characters through improvisation, previous circumstance, relationship exercises, private moments, animal work, objects and music. We will also explore objectives and text through rehearsal of the scenes.
Dee Cannon’s teaching approach is pure Stanislavski based. She works from a place of absolute truth and specifics. She specialize’s in guiding actors to connect to text and character.
The workshop will help actors draw from their own lives and imaginations and teach them to make informed choices on the chosen material as well as finding Objectives and dealing with any challenges that the material might bring up. We will focus on how to break down the text into psychological intentions/beats and will spend time rehearsing. There will also be the opportunity to film the end results.
