Andy Murray is a London born actor and teacher who spent over 30 years in the US and now lives in Berlin. He taught Acting Shakespeare for over ten years at the Berkeley Rep School in Berkeley, CA, and at the California Shakespeare Theater, where he was a long term company member. He’s introduced Shakespeare to incarcerated youth in juvenile hall and to inmates at San Quentin State Prison, given private audition classes in New York City, and coached three series regular actors on the HBO show The Deuce. He’s acted on Broadway (Lincoln Center), off-Broadway (Park Ave Armory, Irish Rep), and at many esteemed regional theatres, including Shakespeare Theatre Company in D.C., Yale Rep., the McCarter, American Conservatory Theater and Berkeley Rep, working with such highly regarded directors as Richard Jones, Mary Zimmerman, Tony Taccone, Les Waters, Daniel Fish and Tina Landau. He’s performed in thirty-seven productions of Shakespeare’s plays. His TV and film work includes Daredevil, House of Cards, The Knick, Run All Night, Aloft, Law and Order C.I., Chicago P.D., Shades of Blue, and, in Europe, Borgen – Power and Glory and Legend of Wacken (playing Lemmy.)
