Are you an actor striving to enhance your performance in front of the camera? Or a director eager to master the art of guiding actors? Join us for an immersive 5-day intensive workshop designed for actors and directors who are passionate about cinematic storytelling.

This workshop provides a safe and supportive environment where you will discover essential techniques for on-camera acting and directing.

For Actors:

During the first half of the week, actors will engage in a variety of original short-form exercises focused on developing strong moment-to-moment performance and authentic behavioural language that captivates on screen. You will gain insights into how visual storytelling is crafted, both in writing and during shooting, allowing you to unleash your creativity and expressiveness in front of the camera.

As the workshop unfolds, actors will apply these principles to shoot short, scripted scenes while working in pairs. You will experience multiple takes and different camera setups, with a strong emphasis on the close-up, a vital aspect of cinematic performance. Learn to let go of previous takes, allowing real-time inspiration to enrich your on-screen portrayal.

For Directors:

Directors will gain invaluable knowledge about working effectively with actors by observing their process and understanding how to facilitate powerful performances. Discover techniques to communicate vision and intent, ensuring the authenticity of performances that resonate with audiences.

  • Participants receive all filmed takes of their scene work at the end of the intensive (work is left unedited).
