„On Set“: 2-Tages-Workshop mit Jordan Beswick

Für Schauspieler/innen

What is it? A fun and energising taster workshop designed to help you prepare for the mental, physical, emotional and technical demands of working on a TV or film set.

How will it work? From breaking down the text, through rehearsal and filming, Jordan Beswick will take you through the preparatory process that has helped actors maximise their on set experience for decades. Knowing who you are, where you are, and what you are dealing with ‘in character’ whilst simultaneously hitting your marks, dealing with green screen, imagining specific worlds off camera, sight lines, sound levels, continuity, etc. is key.

What do you get out of it? The goal of the workshop is to become an actor who is focused, flexible, has a fertile imagination and is able to multitask.

Material: Actors will be assigned scenes from such current films as Straight Outta Compton, Room, Carol, Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle, Trainwreck, Ex Machina, Martha/Marcy/May/Marlene, Son of Saul.

„Jordan does not teach nor train, he lifts you up using your own imagination to create characters in the given circumstances. If you let yourself go, breathe, and focus, it is as much a fun process, as it is above all the greatest gift to an actor. I wouldn’t start a project without having a long conversation about it with him. Thank you, Mr. Beswick. Without you it wouldn’t have happened.“ – Denis Menochet

„Working with Jordan has been an amazing experience for me. He brings you to the deep heart of your character, making you behave, feel and think like her… He is the internal voice of this thrilling process!“ – Marie Gillain

„YOU are the best teacher I’ve ever ever ever had! You made me realize more things about acting in a few weeks than I had ever acknowledged before! You planted seeds in my brain that are finally blooming!“ – Soko

„There is a before and an after Jordan Beswick. My feelings and my new way of working are obvious, the cinema finally opening its arms to me is proof.“ – Alban Lenoir
